What Is In My Bag?

The two things I always carry with me are my moleskines. The red is my journal full of my novel ideas, stories and poems and the black is my diary. If someone wants to make plans with me, it has to be written in the diary. If it isn't then I will definitely forget!

Trust me, if you don't have a wallet this size then I don't know what you are doing with your life or time!? This carries everything I need and doubles up as a clutch for nights and dinners out. It started life as a Cambodian Rice Bag and will live out its remaining days with me in its beautiful clutch form.

Glasses and No.7 Lip and Eye Sun Protection; major necessities! I don't need my glasses all the time, they're really just for concentrating but due to me wearing them at work as I'm staring at a computer all day, I keep them in my bag as I'm a bit absent minded and leave things about in random places. The No.7 protection has worked wonders for this fantastic Summer we're experiencing here in England!

I've recently had to attach a bell keyring to my keys as I'm forever losing them at the bottom of my bag. I like to have lots of keyrings and I feel all of these sum up my personality quite well...particularly the elephant.

Sanitary Towels in case of emergency obviously! Over the last few months works has been an extremely stressful place and due to being very run down, I came down with a pretty stonking chest infection. I had to work through this illness as we couldn't afford to lose anyone from work so I started taking Redoxon. I don't take it as much anymore but when I'm feeling a bit pooey, I mix up a glass at work. The Polo's and Orbit are just to make sure my breath stays fresh all day long!

The things in my bag make me look very sensible but I can assure you I'm really not! I'm currently carrying Ibuprofen around as I've been experiencing wisdom tooth pain, the facial wash is something from Glossybox that I just shoved in my bag in case I needed it and the hayfever tablets are daily use due to my allergies!

Sunnies from New Look to shield from the blazing fireball in the sky! The little chinese purse on the far left is full of hair grips as due to the phenomenal size of my hair, I'm unable to put it up without shoving a million grips in it to keep it in place. My iPod goes everywhere with me, the E45 cream is for my eczema and my phone (with the incredible cover) is of course, always with me...apart from when I forget it. Also, I often put it on airplane mode so people don't bother me. Basically, I shouldn't have a phone!

A random ring that is just a little bit tight and a pocket mirror!

My sunnies and glasses with the current book; Citadel by Kate Mosse.

My satchel is from Barcelona and was €20. We were walking back from the Gothic Quarter and this little beauty caught my eye and that was it!

So do you carry similar things to me? What necessities do you always need with you?

Recent Make Up Purchases

I recently bought 17's Lipstick in Hot Chilli and I love it! I wore it out on Saturday and it really brought my whole look up a notch. I wore very little eye make up and received quite a few compliments. As you can see from the above pictures, the colour comes out quite orange. I'm a red lipstick wearer and always will be however I definitely have a few nights planned with this little number. It's smooth on and it's very durable. I only had to re-apply it once during the whole night! If you're a pale lady who can pull of the brightness then I'd say go for it!

As a pale lady with blotchy skin and the odd spot, I'm always looking for something to keep my skin even-toned and to cover any oddities up. I've heard a lot about green concealer so had a little google and found Nicola Robert's Dainty Doll Green Concealer in 004 It's A Kind of Magic. I only got this today so haven't really had a chance to use it however from what I've sampled, I'm liking it so far. As you can see it goes on fairly light but once blended in gives a nice cover.

I thought I'd go for a bit of glitz this week. I try and paint my nails a different colour every week and due to work being quite tough at the moment, I figured snazzy nails may cheer me up. I achieved this look using Nails Inc Motcomb Street and Fairy Dust from fairygoodies.co.uk. I painted the navy shade on, then did a clear coat, then another clear coat and subsequently sprinkled the fairy dust all over my nails. If you're going to purchase Fairy Dust, please note, glitter will go EVERYWHERE.

I hope you enjoyed seeing what I've bought recently? Have you tried any of the above before? Have you bought anything recently that you're loving? Let me know in the comments below!

Haul 28.03.2013

I've been wearing orange on my nails for the last 2 weeks and thought it was time for a bit of a change. Standing in the queue for New Look, I spotted this nail varnish in the colour 'Cafe au Lait' and thought well why not. It goes on nicely but you can tell it's not a high priced nail varnish due to it beging a bit gloopy. I like the colour though and think it will go quite nicely with what I'm planning to wear tonight for cocktails with the girls. I'm glad my cafe au lait isn't really this grey colour though!

I bought two rings today, one is gold and oval shaped but unfortunately my camera point blankly refused to focus hence no close-up picture. This one is silver and in the shape of a cross. I thought it was a bit different and I just really liked it.

I actually bought this a few days ago and already I am in love with it! I have quite big hair, fine but lots of it and hate straightening it. I'm a messy hair kind of girl, if it's not tousled and down, it's up in a messy bun. This spray completely perfects my tousled look. Firm favourite.

I'm a bit of an amateur runner these days and can never resist a stop into Sports Direct for sports supplies. This is perfect for my morning shakes!

Other runners will know that sorting out your iPod can be a right pain, I hate having it bouncing up and down in my pocket. I'm going to give this belt a whirl and see if it's for me!

I just bloody love headphones particularly when they're reduced.

Running shorts...need I explain more?

I loved this shirt from New Look, the materials nice and it's quite oversized which is pretty much my bag. I also have a bit of a thing about elephants.

This is what I wore today, an oversized spotty blouse and though not in the picture, I paired it with blue jodhpurs and an oversized burgundy cardigan.

Have you done any shopping recently? Any tips for running?

Pre-Order Les Mis on DVD
I have never pre-ordered a DVD in my life but judging that I went to see this film 4 times, I think pre-ordering is an obvious choice for me. I adored this film, I was obsessed with the original stage show and I think it transferred well to the screen. My big criticism was Hugh Jackman's take on 'Bring Him Home' but other than that, I faulted very little. Equally anything Eddie Redmayne is in can do no wrong. From Amazon.

Red Desert Boots
I want...no, need a pair of these boots. I was in Paris, standing in the queue for Louvre tickets and there was a french girl in front of me wearing a faded pink pair of these and I instantly fell in love with them. They're good sturdy boots that I can just throw on for the day. From eBay.

Mac Lipstick in Morange
I've wanted to buy something from Mac for a very long time and seeing as I've recently been promoted, I thought why not treat myself! I'm usually a classic red lipstick girl but I'd like to try something a little different. From Mac UK.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant
I received this in my December(?) GLOSSYBOX and it worked wonders. Definitely a product I'm interested in buying full size. I love the powder to liquid system too. From Dermalogica.

Ernest Hemingway T-Shirt
I. Love. Ernest. Hemingway. This t-shirt needs no explanation. It is everything and nothing hurts.

Narnia - The Lampost Ring
I'm very into rings right now and I wanted one that really summed up my personality. Narnia was a big part of my childhood and when I found this ring, I knew I had to have it! From Etsy.

Monu Aromatic Warming Face Mask
Another GLOSSYBOX product, I love doing a face mask and since receiving this, I've used it once or twice a week. Come payday, I'm going to bite the bullet and get it full size, it's great on the skin and leaves your face feeling cleansed, moisturised and soft. From Monu.

Leather Pocket T-Shirt
Spotted this in Stratford Westfields but alas I didn't have enough money at the time. I'm coming for you shirt! From Forever 21.
